Falcon 4.37.4 • TARCAP (Link 16 Checkride)
I'm finally checking out the Update 4 for Falcon BMS 4.37. Its highlight has to be the Link 16. It's a game changer for me - my SA increased dramatically with this tool.
To familiarize myself with this new system I started the campaign and flew a simple BARCAP at first, downing 4 (confirmed) bandits and getting home safely. For the 2nd sortie I choosed a TARCAP, where I'm a part of a package. This is the footage from that mission. I started recording after ramp start during taxi.

This one is pretty similar to the original - the Tu-26s were replaced with Tu-22s, escorts from Flankers to Foxhounds and the OHT helo from Ka-50 to Ka-31. After completing the final level there is this silly cutscene played with the aliens (didn't I shoot them down in Level 10?) which is a bit broken when you use higher than original resolution of 640x480 in SimCopterX. I grew up playing this and Janes F15. Nowadays we have Warthunder or DCS! But I love this stuff. Classic
What would be the best way to bind a modern hotas to falcon4? I can only have it read my vkv stecs or my tm warthog stick

This game is constantly changing since it's in Early Access.
Dcs and falcon bms are the same thing . They both started as flanker and falcon series. However the flanker devs had enough money to make dcs while the bms devs are working for free . If bms devs had enough money , it would have surpassed dcs in everything by now
Flanker has zero to do with Falcon 4.0 or BMS. The latter is based on a publicly available NASA F-16 flight model that was integrated with the later open-source versions of Falcon 4.0.
@@Reticuli my point is that dcs started as flanker and bms started as falcon 4.0 . Not that falcon 4.0 has anything to do with flanker
I love Falcon BMS. It still amazes me how they did this to the old Falcon 4.0 and how its all for free. I much prefer this to DCS.

Hi, I've only recently got MSFS 2020 and started doing this mission a few days ago. Everything works smoothly except for the "re-entering / descending" to land at Cape Canaveral. During the descent, the machine starts to shake and then the mission fails. A window then appears saying that the machine has been overloaded. I fly with a simple joystick. What have I forgotten? Would it make sense to turn on the air brake during the descent?
@@Scube28 seems like you've overstressed the airframe. Throttle down to idle and try not to descent too quickly. You need to decelerate before you hit the thicker lower part of the atmosphere.
I'm thinking about jumping back into BMS myself. Can't wait to see the new graphics engine with the new terrain. DCS is ok but the AI is just horrible.

Tylko pewnie będzie działać za szybko na dziesiejszych prockach. Niestety tylko Fighters Anthology posiada patch (1.02), który dodaje frame limiter aby na mocniejszych CPU gra nie przyspieszała. No chyba, że masz starego kompa albo odpalasz grę z jaiejś wirtualnej maszyny. Z FA masz problem przy instalacji czy przy odpalaniu gry?
@@damsonnATF o dziwo działa ok😊 A Janes FA... problem zaczyna się dopiero gdy próbuje odpalić misje. Sama gra się uruchamia. Mogę poruszać się po opcjach. Ale gdy próbuję np. uruchomić misję pojedynczą albo z szybkiego edytora to nagle wywala do systemu... Próbowałem dgVoodoo, Próbowałem ustawianie zgodności że starymi systemami. I nic😢 Patch 1.02 zainstalowany i nadal nic.

@@damsonnTo jest jakaś dziwna wersja. Ktoś zrobił to tak, że odpala grę automatycznie z dosboxa (z pliku PlayNow.exe) jednakże wszystko działa super. Ani za wolno ani za szybko😊 Co do Janes? Myślę, że wina u mnie leży po stronie Windows reg. On sobie tam coś nadpisał i nie idzie tego usunąć.

Did you guys look to any of that campaign videos description?
I spy two copium responses from people who suck at DCS because it's not an arcade game like warthunder. Is the DCS ground ai perfect? hell no. Are the air ai better than a lot of competing options? Once past the basic level of ai, yes. They make you work for kills that aren't revolving around the cheater aim-9X. As for as to why the entire thing hasn't been remade in DCS, it's simple. It's not an easy thing. It's not just plop units down in the ME and click fly. Triggers, zones and scripts need to be made which requires some intimate knowledge of how DCS works.
